Alright, so we have calmed down a little after releasing our new album on November 1st and touring France after that. How are you doing? The feedback so far has been more than mind blowing and jaw dropping. Below you can find some feedback that reached us, some interviews we did and some reports of what has been going on the last weeks. We got back from a very awesome tour bringing us to the Groezrock festival, the UK, Queensday in Holland, Just Like Your Mom’s HQ and the traditional Le Havre Mayhem. A lot of thanks to those coming out to our show at Groezrock and the shows we did in the UK and the mainland. Thanks to promoters for organizing and hosting. And thanks to High Five Drive for accompanying us on this trip and making it very worthwhile. A proper tour report will follow later.

Ashes Records, Never Trust an Asshole Zine and Fond of Life Records recently released a sampler featuring one of our songs together with a lot of really great bands. Check those samplers: Ashes Records, Never Trust an Asshole Zine (download zine and sampler) and Fond of Life Records. The Never Trust an Asshole Zine actually includes a recent interview with us.

For our upcoming tour we are still really in need of shows. So far we are going to Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Belgium. If you want to help us out with a date or two we’d be extremely grateful. Even though we are a very frequently touring band, booking never is an easy job and can’t happen with your help. In Antwerp (BEL) we will be playing with Hot Water Music on June 14 and on June 15 we will support Down By Law in Arnhem (NL).

In the mean time Riekus has been busy updating this site and improving what was not perfect yet, and now it all is! You can search this site through the search field on the top right, and some more social networks have been added next to it, Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm, PureVolume, you know the drill. From now on Facebook.com/antillectual is the direct link to our page over there, by the way.

Besides that we updated the merch section and took out what wasn’t available anymore and put in the new EP. Get it while it’s still hot and pink! We also have some samplers (for instance the 15 years AFA compilation) which aren’t featured. Email us if you’re interested, we’ll throw in some nice goodies like stickers and posters.

And last the interview we did in Mülheim in March is online at Get Addicted. There’s also a live video at the same site with a new song.

Back on our last tour, we played a show in the lovely city of Erfurt (Germany). During sound check, we were asked if we would like to come down to a radio show. Of course we would!

We ended up having a talk with Andre for Radio F.R.E.I, a local independent radio station. He has been doing a punk/hardcore related show called ‘Less talk, more rock’ for almost 10 years now. We decided to sit down, have a talk and play some acoustic versions of our songs.

The interview covers subjects such as:

- how touring the UK is uncomfortable, “not being nice to bands” .. sorry English friends!
- how Germany is “heaven on earth for touring bands”
- spending 16 hours on the road in the USA
- how we “never planned to play Germany”

And Yvo has some words to say about how “kids are so inspiring”, his oldest son dancing to Descendents, his favorite band being Propagandhi.

A tiny update from the back of the van again. So far we’ve had four shows on this tour and right now we are having a little two day break in Berlin, where we’re being hosted by our friends Vincent and Sophie. Unfortunately we have two days off, but there’s worse places than Berlin to sit through the day. The show in Dresden got cancelled somehow and that means we’ll have a last minute show at the VoKu in Finsterwalde in stead where we’ll disturb people’s dinner by means of an acoustic show.

The tour has been treating us kind up to this moment. In Erfurt we were asked to do an interview and two acoustic songs on Radio F.R.E.I. You should be able to listen to it somehow through this link. Our first experience in Poland was interesting to say the least. Extremely nice people speaking a language that is hard to follow. And today we spent 4 hours in an enormous traffic jam between Poland and Berlin, but a highway can be entertaining outside a van as well.

Since we want to get rid of some stock of old samplers you now get one for free with any merch order over 5 euro. So if you had doubts, this might make up your mind? Or maybe even more reason not to do it?

Since we try to penetrate all social networks around, Riekus created a Twitter account to which you can subscribe yourself if you want. And why not. We also started a Facebook account. But haven't done much to it yet. Again, feel free to drop by, subscribe, and perhaps even give us any tips on how to get that thing proper looking. Since it doesn't right now.

And last but not least is an interview in the UK fanzine Last hours with Yvo and Riekus. A video interview! Thanks to our friend Tom! Please check out Last Hours for sure, one of the best European zines around. For now.

And of course we're already planning our next tour. In January/February 2009 we will be going to France, Switzerland and Italy. We still have some off days to fill. As usual, feel free to jump in!

Our shows for the UK tour were the last ones we will be playing this year. In total we did 106 shows in 2008, which is the most shows we've ever done in a year. Now let's have a month of rest. As if.

First of all, if you happen to have/find reviews, pictures, videos, whatever from our USA tour, please send them or a link to us. We like to keep track and collect a lot of souvenirs this way. A written tour report and the last episode of the tour video report are to come.

Square of Opposition also has some left over T-shirts from our USA tour up for sale. Soon they will be for sale through this website too. About that; we sold out some old shirt designs and updated this on the merch section. The remastered Silencing Civilization CDs and LPs are available for ordering.

We also found some new reviews of Testimony in German at Waste of Mind fanzine and Blueprint Fanzine, in English in Can You See the Sunset, Punktastic. On top of that the German zine Ox did an interview with us. You can find the online version here. Soon there will be an interview on ipunk.cz and Last Hours. As if we wouldn't let you know.

Phil from Black Numbers Records (Static Radio, Purpose, Rock,star) asked us if we would like to participate in a Kid Dynamite tribute "Carry the torch" they are releasing together with Copper Lung Records and Get Outta Town Records. And of course, we're honoured. There's a list of already confirmed other bands which is quite exciting. So next weekend we'll be recording Kid Dynamite's "Wrist rocket" and perhaps some demos for our own new songs. If there's enough time though.
